"Subtly reflective green-gold with warm reddish highlights. There are no mentionable marks and choice overall, especially for the assigned grade. A relatively available date, courtesy of a mintage of 263,106 circulation strikes, though it becomes quite scarce in Mint State grades. An attractive coin. NGC Census: 22 in 61, 5 finer (all MS-62). This number includes four MS61 examples that have been certified under the auspices of the S.S. Republic Treasure, as noted on the NGC holder. Those are the finest from that hoard, with no others surpassing the assigned quality of the present specimen."
